Flash Interfaces

Interfaces that are created using Macromedia Flash have to be functional as well as "flashy" looking. Good interface design is an art in itself. ScottMedia has designed Flash interfaces, as well as created interfaces from other's designs. The following is a collection of some of the past and present interfaces ScottMedia has worked on.

University of Manitoba - Faculty of Science

Faculty of Human Ecology CDROM Interface

This CD ROM used Flash to enable a multimedia presentation that included video, text, and a photos. The Faculty of Science CDROM features a professionaly pressed CD, and printed sleeve.

In 2007, a version of this interface was created for the Web (click the image to view).

Working with Envisage Design Group, ScottMedia created an Interface for orthodontist Dr. Dumore (www.drdumore.com). The interface uses separate Flash movies for each individual section of the site in order to keep the file size and download time to a minimum.

neo abstract solutions

ScottMedia created this interface for neoabstract solutions. It uses custom buttons, a custom scroll bar, and linked, customer editable text files.

The Forks Market

Working with Envisage Design Group, ScottMedia provided Flash programming for the Forks Market web site. A fairly intensive project, it includes complex navigation, sound, and JavaScript interaction. ScottMedia also provided HTML and JavaScript programming for the non-Flash version of the site.

Note: This interface is no longer current. As well, some of the links will not be working. For Demonstrative purposes only.

Club U4ia

One of ScottMedia's first Flash interfaces, the former U4ia site utilized javascript interaction and special internal movie clips for navigation control.

This interface pioneered some of the techniques that would come to be used on many later interfaces, and all in Flash 3 without complex actionscript!

Note: This interface is no longer current. For Demonstrative purposes only.
